Monthly PI/CPC Events

March Events

Greetings everyone!

March will be upon us soon, and we currently have four events on our calendar (see below).

Please check out the upcoming opportunities to share AA’s message, and thank you in advance for your willingness to speak and/or shadow for these events!

A quick thanks to those speakers I’ve had the pleasure of chatting with, and I look forward to e-meeting the rest of you soon…

Yours in Service

Cheryl B

February Events

Greetings everyone and Happy New Year!

My name is Cheryl B (I’ve taken over from Mike R as the Speaker Coordinator) so you will be receiving emails from me going forward.  Thanks for your patience… (smile)

We only have a couple of events right now yet I’m certain that more will be added!

Part of what we’ll be doing this month is a speaker inventory so please stay tuned.

I’m looking forward to working with all of you!

Best regards,

Cheryl B

January Events

Happy Holidays!

As we don’t have a lot going on until the second week of January, there is time for a well deserved rest, and of course, the holiday season.

As stated last month, I am stepping down as speaker coordinator for this committee at the end of this month.  To date, a new member has yet to come forward to fill the role, so it looks to go vacant.  Rotation ensures sustainability – thus Gods will.  God, its your move.

If anyone is interested, please contact me.  I will show you the ropes in short order, and plan to stay on to manage the website and assist wherever necessary.

It has been a pleasure to correspond with all of you as this site and our committee have grown over the past three years.  Oh, the things I’ve learned; about myself, our fellowship, our service structure and the people within it.  Thank you for allowing me to serve and develop as an individual.  I am changed for it.

December Events

Well, December has turned out to be a tornado!  Word got out that we do C.A.L.M. classes, and the response has been a veritable flood.   It’s a good thing our committee spent the summer months developing our speaker base to draw upon because December has 12 individual events, and counting.

That is why I am putting the monthly events out sooner than usual, so all of you can have a look, and see if you can fit one or some of these events into your own busy December schedule.  Growing pains… very very good to have. Read more “December Events” →

November Events

Hi all.  This month marks a full calendar year with our website.  Oh, the places we will go!  As usual, procedures are constantly evolving as we learn, so speakers be aware that, to avoid confusion, bookings “to shadow” will not be approved until a speaker for your event has volunteered as well.

First on deck this month is the November 2nd demonstration meeting for the police studies students.  That requires several volunteers, so if you could put your name up for that right away, that would be much appreciated by the few who have come forward already.

Should new events arrive, this post will reflect them. Read more “November Events” →

    Area Committees

This site began trials in late 2016 as a WordPress.com blog.   It became an interactive site meant to aid service committees in their communications and planning. Perhaps overly broad in scope, its design was intended to maintain a consistent point of contact between outreach committees, the committee members themselves (forum), and those they interacted with. Use of this site was ever mindful of the spirit of anonymity, using only first names and last initial.

The domain name was a known issue, only the booking concept was adopted locally, and the site was mothballed in mid-2019.
