The purpose of this site is multi-faceted, beginning as a communication tool for the committee members, facilitators, and speakers of the Edmonton PI/CPC Committee (Public Information and Cooperation with the Professional Community). Other committees may join for their benefit at any time as tools are developed and refined, and uses for all become clear.
Not to ignore those we aim to reach, betterment of the availability and description of our services is a goal of this site as well.
We aim to:
- ensure the that the spirit of rotation does not adversely affect the facilitators we strive to reach.
- enable committee members to coordinate and collaborate on events in the interim between monthly committee meetings.
- house the knowledge gathered by committee members, as well as those before us.
- allow our speakers to easily view, read up on, and sign up for monthly events.
- allow the possibility for sharing of their experience, strength, and hope with one another
- display accountability and transparency to fellow members through the posting of committee minutes (on the forum only)
- provide contact information as well as description to the public at large of the potential use and purpose of each of our service committees
- make available all the information we can, in the spirit of anonymity, so that this might be used to better effect our primary purpose…
