This is an hour and a half presentation for the students of the Nurse’s Mental Health and Addictions Course at the University of Alberta. It is held in the Clinic Health Academy building, in a room to be announced once it is known, at 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. It is being held in Room 1-190
The event will begin with a factual “What AA is, and what it isn’t” in a short power point, followed by a shortened demonstration meeting to give a sense of what it looks like/feels like to be at an actual AA meeting, and lastly, break off into small groups to answer questions etc.
Parking passes will be made available, and will be for the education parkade located directly northwest of the Clinic Health Academy.
There are 6 openings for the demonstration meeting, Two for the CPC presentation power-point, and an additional 2 for shadows. Shadowing this event would have every likelihood of participating in the breakaway meetings, so is a good opportunity to get your feet wet.
