Monthly PI/CPC Events
January Events
Hi All,
Entering a new year already. An important note to all site users is at the end of this post. Go there now.
I will start with the monthly events. Check back here as the month develops for unfilled events.
January 13 — Salvation Army’s Mens Residential Treatment Program
This event remained vacant this month.
This event has been rescheduled for 2 PM. It is still an hour PI presentation. It has room for one speaker and two shadows.
January 17 — PI/CPC Committee Meeting
This is our regular monthly meeting held at the Alano Club. There will also be another information meeting regarding use of this website held at Central Office. ** Jan 12 – Cold and flu prevented this from happening so far. Individual sessions have happened, and another is suggested, to be announced at this months meeting. **
January 21 — I.M.P.A.C.T. Edmonton
Christie N has booked as PI for this event.
Reg A has booked to shadow this event.
It begins at 12:30 PM, is a half hour PI presentation, and has room for one speaker and two shadows.
January 21 — Elizabeth Fry Society
Linda C has booked as PI for this event.
Greg B has booked to shadow this event.
This goes from 1 – 2 PM, and is an hour long PI presentation with room for one speaker and two shadows.
January 23 — Alberta Health Services Public Information Session
There is still room for two PI speakers.
Reg A has booked to shadow this event.
This begins at 7 PM and goes until 8:30 PM. It is a 15-20 minute PI presentation with room for two speakers and two shadows. Great to get your feet wet.
Note to site subscribers:
Booking events does NOT need to wait for the publishing of the monthly post. With this new system, if you want to put your name in for an event, you can do so at anytime! In the spirit of fairness, and to not stand in the way of anothers recovery, confirmation will not be given too soon (nor too late). This is a policy that is evolving, but generally, at least two weeks notice will be given.
The old WordPress.com blog will be retired at the end of December along with the Google Calendar and other Google account dependencies.
If you haven’t already done so, please save your bookmarks to www.areacommittees.org now, as the re-direct from the old site www.aaservices.org will be removed at the end of December. God willing, this will be the last disruptive change to our url, and our committee can begin to build on this solid footing.
My new e-mail address is pi.cpc.coordinator(at)areacommittees.org and cpcpi.edmaa(at)gmail.com will be phased out over time. Comments, suggestions, and feedback are hard to come by, and welcomed at any time.
I look forward to the year ahead, with a static url, a simple username and password policy, public and private website areas, and a greater ability to carry our message to the still suffering alcoholic.
